If you suspect your relationship is not going well, you might be right. As Houston matchmakers with over 30 years in the business of love, we’ve heard it all before. Your guy might not be feeling it anymore but doesn’t have the heart to come out and tell you. He may be waiting for the perfect time, even though there is no great time to tell someone you want to break up. He could also be acting a certain way with hopes you’ll be the one to call it quits and initiate the split.

Today, our Houston matchmakers are going to show you the top warning signs he wants to break up with you. Read on and find out where your guy really stands.

1. He talks about past flings.

Look, even though it may be uncomfortable, sometimes it is important for a girl or a guy to talk about their past relationships. However, if a guy suddenly starts spending a lot of time talking about his past flings, it could be a warning sign that he actually misses one of them.

Being friendly and amicable with an ex isn’t really a big deal, but constantly talking about her is a huge red flag. If an ex seems to be on his mind all the time, a break up might be on the horizon. Either way, if your guy has been doing a lot of talking about someone from his past, it’s time you have a talk.

2. He doesn’t show any affection in public.

Of course, showing too much PDA can be a huge turnoff. But on the other hand, showing absolutely no affection in public is never a good thing.

If a guy doesn’t want to show affection in public, beware. He could be acting this way – distant and disconnected – because he secretly wants people to think he’s single and available. He doesn’t want people to know that he is in a committed relationship. He wants all the women to see him as a single guy. How can he portray that if he’s holding your hand in public?

3. He has new female friends.

As Houston matchmakers, we know it’s perfectly okay for a guy to have female friends while in a relationship. And it’s also totally fine for a girl to have male friends. Of course, things have to be kept completely platonic. But it’s a little fishy when a guy suddenly seems to have new female friends out of nowhere. And we’re not talking about coworkers here.

It’s just good manners to introduce your significant other to your friends. If your guys suddenly seems to have female friends who you’ve never met before, well, it definitely raises some questions as to what his real intention is with his new gal pals.

4. He becomes emotionally distant.

There are many different reasons why a guy might act emotionally distant in a relationship. It could be because he is going through a tough time in his personal life and he doesn’t know how to open up about it. In this case, it doesn’t mean that he wants to break up. On the other hand, it could also be because deep down, he feels like he is already over his girlfriend. He may not feel connected and committed to the relationship anymore.

In this case, the relationship is definitely on the rocks. If your guy is being emotionally distant, he might not want to put any more work into the relationship.

So tell us, how many of these warning signs do you notice with your guy? Is your relationship unraveling, or were you just worried over nothing?
